His Excellency the minister of higher education & scientific research visits the National   Cancer Institute and attends a meeting to plan expansion of the Institute.

In this meeting the planned expansions were discussed which include the building of a new branch & re-fitting of the old building to face the increase in the number of cases that reached 20,000 new cases last year.

The dean also pointed out the difficulties that face the Institute in financing the treatment of patients due to budget deficit from the allocated 27 million pounds to the actual 68 million pounds spent on treatment ,pointing out that the difference is filled by donations.
