Realization of a vision

Recently, the wise directions of Mr. Mobarak, the President of Egypt lead to the implementation of a network of cancer centers that covers all Egypt’s provinces. The National Cancer Institute extends its support to these cancer centers to include its wealth of trained scientists in different disciplines of oncology diagnosis, treatment and moreover prevention. The National Cancer Institute extends the support more to share the specialized facilities, know-how, labs and centers not only through conventional methods, but also through most advanced technologies as telemedicine. The Academic Program of the National Cancer Institute offers advanced training and professional degrees in different oncology disciplines. It is continuously being updated and upgraded to satisfy the needs of the advancement in medical practice and the needs of the Egyptian patients. NCI view that cancer is a disease that requires cost sharing and proper management of cancer centers. The implementation of computerized hospital management systems will be the only method to optimize the utilization and operation all cancer centers in Egypt.
